A Survey on Introduction of Hospital Services Evaluation Programme

Abstract

|
In order to improve the consumer´s utilization of hospital and control the quality of hospital services, authorities introduced the hospital services evaluation programme(HSEP).
The purpose of this survey is to seek the knowledge and attitude to the introduction of hospital services evaluation programme(HSEP). This survey, using Members of the Korea Hospital Association 1994(KHA) carried out for the president of hospital sampled from the whole country. Out of 650 hospitals 289 respondents were analized.
72.3% of respondents recognized HSEP. 58.1% of respondents showed negative response to the introduction of HSEP. Respondents pointed out the problems that health care system faced and alternatives that solve the problem.
Finally introduction of HSEP will affect the management of hospital and health care system therefore authorities should be careful of the introduction of HSEP.
